UMMA Photo National 2011

If you like photography, definitely find a way to get yourself up to Bangor for the new show at the University of Maine Museum of Art. The Photo National 2011 really is a great show – tons of great work, very well-presented and curated, and the simple solution of having two pieces of work from almost everyone adds to the depth of the show in a surprising way. Mind you, I might be biased since I have two pieces in the show, but you should definitely see for yourself — I believe it will unquestionably be the strongest and most interesting group photography exhibition in Maine this year. There is a nice write-up in the Bangor Daily News with some quotes from me, too, and that gives you more info on the thought process behind the show (and the prevalence of color photography versus black & white).

Here are two images from the show that are from friends/clients Sarah Szwajkos & Robert Moran. If you made it to the show yourself, let me know what you thought!
